In this very brief life we have,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What are we chasing?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What\u2019re our priorities?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Is it to \u201cmake it?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Is it to be known?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Is it recognition?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Is it achievement?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
(whatever that means!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What are we chasing?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Is it ministry?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Is it souls for Jesus?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Is it to build God\u2019s kingdom?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What\u2019s consuming our hearts?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What does He want from us?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What does He want us to chase?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019ve chased the wrong things!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In zeal, I\u2019ve chased good things-<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Service, ministry, activities-<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But I\u2019ve chased the wind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What does God want of me-<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What does God want of you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
God wants me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
God wants all my heart & soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
God wants the deepest recesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
God wants my center-<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The center of my center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
God wants my thoughts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
God wants my entire being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He wants my love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He wants the core of my love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He wants me to ache for Him-<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To desire Him beyond desire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To hunger for Him \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Such that nothing else counts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What does God want?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A heart that chases Him-<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A heart that runs after Him-<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That cries for Him,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That craves for Him,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That pants for Him,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That mocks at every other love,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That races for God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is what God longs for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A crazy affectionate soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A soul that idolizes Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A restless soul-<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Restless with this world,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Restless with temporal things,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Restless against emptiness-<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And all this world has, is empty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ministry is empty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Service is empty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Church is empty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Success is empty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Good works are empty-<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All are empty,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Except if inflamed in His love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh God! Keep me restless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Keep me longing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fill my heart with a longing-<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That only You can satisfy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lord, I give You my heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sorry that I\u2019ve chased shadows-<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Empty shadows-<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For so long!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I don\u2019t care what men think;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I don\u2019t care what I have;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Or what I don\u2019t have!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All that matters is Your love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That am in Your love,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And I can give You my all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Oh Lord, keep me restless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With You, am satisfied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Drive me to You Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Drive me away from things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Drive me away from vanities-<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And all that\u2019s not centered on You-<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Is vanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Am sorry for chasing so much,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So many goals,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Outside You: my life Goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Draw me back again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Always draw me back to You.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That\u2019s all I want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You are my only desire;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My consuming desire;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My only satisfaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Purify me from all else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Please Lord, purify me-<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From myself,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From my appetites,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From my ministry,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From my pursuits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let my consuming desire be You;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Even now and always.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Amen Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Please Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
