Here is not my home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I cannot and will not feel at home here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No matter what blessings I receive here,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is not my place of abode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have another tent of dwelling that is ahead of me,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And I cannot wait to get to my real home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This body is a temporary tent of death,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is not my tent of glory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There is a tent of glory ahead,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A tent of immortality;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is for that tent I groan and cry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I cannot wait to put off this tent,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Or to be clothed with the heavenly tent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With this in mind, I cannot be at home here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I know there\u2019s a greater glory awaiting me ahead,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And because I am in Christ and I have His Spirit,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have the assurance that I will put on the glory of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whatever glory I experience now is incomparable to the glory to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For this glorious glory, I groan and wait in anguish,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For this glorious glory, I refuse to be at peace in this decaying body,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For everything that this body presents is death compared to what\u2019s ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What\u2019s ahead is true life, true glory, my true eternal body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh Lord, help me keep my eyes on what really counts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some kill and maim and fight for this transient decaying existence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I will not pursue that which is passing away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My life will be single eyed on that which endures forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Oh God, help me be so focused on the things of eternity,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That I handle the things of this earth with levity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Never allow me pursue or die for things that have no real value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If I must sacrifice for something, may it be for what counts to You.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Help me persuade men to think and dream eternity,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And not just this present temporary existence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Oh Lord, help me strive to bring men into this understanding of reality,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For many are deceived into thinking that what we see is what matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But that\u2019s a lie from hell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All that we see shall surely pass away,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And that which we do not see, is true reality;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Indeed, it\u2019s the substance for eternity, that never will fade or decay or die.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So why must I live for the fading and decaying,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When I can live for that which never wears or tears or breaks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lord, cloth me with immortality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I cannot wait to be clothed with immortality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am guaranteed in Christ that I have eternal life,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But I am not yet clothed with immortality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have eternal life but I still wear this mortal tent of weakness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Your time and by Your means, take this my weak broken vessel away,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And cover my nakedness with that which truly is the garment of Life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I pray and crave and cry for this, in Jesus name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
