My biggest problem in life is me!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My biggest headaches do not come from outside:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s not Satan, it\u2019s not people, it\u2019s not society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My biggest distraction come from within,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And that\u2019s why my battles are so fierce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have discovered that I do not easily follow what I know is right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have learnt to avoid the big sin issues,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But I struggle in the finer points of consecration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For example, I am easily prone to sleep when I should pray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While this may seem a slim distraction to some,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For me, this is a major source of my spiritual bankruptcy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I find that I allow my desire for food erode my need to fast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And with the lack of disciplined fasting comes spiritual impotence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My greatest problem is me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I know where God wants me to get to but I distract myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I talk when I should be silent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I seek for company when I should practice isolation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I play with my phone when I should be studying the Word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And as these things multiply, spiritual energy evaporates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am my own distraction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When I should bury myself in writing,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am watching movies or listening to music:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
(Even good music and movies are distractions that I wrongly permit).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Satan is not my problem because he can only go as far as I permit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
People are not my problem because I must permit them in first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gadgets are not my problem because gadgets depend on my usage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My biggest problem is my lack of discipline to do right,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To do what is expected at the time expected,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To stay faithful to obey God\u2019s inner voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All the powers of the last days cannot overcome me if I live right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No force of hell can overpower me once I have my priorities right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I know I can have an amazing impact on my world if God rules me fully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But I am weak and frail and on the periphery of life,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because I have succumbed to myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cO God, deliver me from myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Deliver me from the inner distractions that keep me busy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If only your power will overrule my internal weaknesses,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I know that You will shake my world through me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For this reason, I ask You to invade my inner being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Invade and override me from within.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let the fullness of Your nature consume me on the inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then, these little foxes will be totally extinguished,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And I will rise to be all You made me to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This I earnestly ask You to do for me,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
