The biggest question I keep asking myself is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat do I offer my generation?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Or put in a better way:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAm I offering my generation my best?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am almost 50 and that question still haunts me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If I\u2019ve been around that long and I have not made my mark,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then will I really make it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What do I have to offer my generation that\u2019s new, fresh & different?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am plagued with a fear that I will live life as an average,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And I know deep down that that\u2019s not my destiny.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I cannot live life in fear of what people think,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Neither must I live life according to the meager standards of others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There\u2019s more to life that can be reached.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There\u2019s more to life that can be offered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I know there\u2019s more,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And I must play my part in shaping that more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I don\u2019t want to be stuck in the wilderness of expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019ve left Egypt but I know there\u2019s a promised land ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I know I was made to enter the promised land,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But I seem to be spending too much time in the wilderness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Red Sea is behind me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My obvious enemies are drowned in my past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But now I struggle with the enemies within:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Those lurking and lying voices of unbelief that keep me transfixed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If I don\u2019t break their spell,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I may end up satisfied with the manna in the desert,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And never experiencing the milk and honey in Canaan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There\u2019s a light that I need to shine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s in me and I know it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There\u2019s a fire I need to burn,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s in me, I know it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So why am I staying where I am?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Why will I not break free?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I must break free to make my mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I must accept that I cannot conform to the norm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I must exert myself in great discipline and pursuit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I must be true to who I am and what I believe in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
God has not made me to stay ordinary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ordinariness is the crime of the wasted life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Be ordinary on the outside,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But be a true thunderbolt within.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You are made to leave a mark in your generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You must repeat that to yourself again and again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You cannot conform to normalcy. You cannot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Others are forging ahead with their pursuits,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And they are leaving their trails on the world stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Others seemingly unknown to the world,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Have made their impressions on millions worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
People are following people who are not people of value or truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If I stand for truth and live for truth,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Why can\u2019t I make my mark for truth and have men follow truth?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
People will follow people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you believe you have a message worth listening to,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then publicize it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you have an example worth showing,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then display it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you have a passion worth sharing,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then shout it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Blast it loud and clear, and don\u2019t mind what small minds think.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The conservative majority are satisfied with the old systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We need to revive the old in a new format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We need to bring the same truth of yesterday into the light of today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We need to speak the language of today with the core of yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have this to offer my generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have truth to present to my world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I owe my world my all,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because I was salvaged from the wreckage,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am indebted to my generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s not fame and popularity that I want;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I need to make a tangible mark for the King;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I need to make a tangible mark for truth;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I need to influence a new generation to radically think differently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Time is running out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I know it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I feel it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s time to act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cO Lord, lift me out of the murky waters of shadowy living.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Raise Your banner high in my life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
May Your light shine brightly before me and around me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let courage rise in my bosom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let my restlessness overwhelm me and push me out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let Your Spirit prevail on me to step into the limelight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lord, I refuse to accept ordinariness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I refuse to live like the silent majority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
