1 Samuel 10:26-27 (NKJV)
\u201cAnd Saul also went home to Gibeah; and valiant men went with him, whose hearts God had touched. But some rebels said, \u2018How can this man save us?\u2019 So they despised him, and brought him no presents. But he held his peace.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the evidence of God\u2019s call and work in your life is that He will send people to help you. God never called us to operate alone. God never intended that His servants would labor without help. It is unthinking that heaven would send you on an errand and not send you the needed supporting staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Look at Jesus. He never struggled to find those who would believe in Him and who would join His inner circle. They were drawn to Him by some invincible magnet. Even when others left, and He asked His disciples if they, too, wanted to leave, they refused to. Why? Because they were God\u2019s gift to Him. Jesus recognized this and committed not to lose any one of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because you have been called into an assignment with God, and you have been given responsibility in this kingdom of God, expect God to gift you with people who will push and pull with you. It is not God\u2019s will or God\u2019s way to send you on an assignment, and not provide the resources to execute. God\u2019s hand provides God\u2019s resources, for God\u2019s mission. I repeat, \u201cGod\u2019s hand provides God\u2019s resources, for God\u2019s mission.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this story, once Saul was crowned king, he went home \u2013 maybe to think, to pray, to plan, to listen to God. But as he headed home, some \u201cvaliant men went with him, whose hearts God had touched.\u201d Interesting that Saul never asked them to come with him, but God put it in their hearts to go with him. And these were not mere men; these were valiant men \u2013 strong, able, capable men.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you respond to the call to royal assignment, be assured that heaven will back you up. Heaven will send you resources. Valiant men will be drawn to you. You will not struggle alone. If you feel abandoned and alone as you seek to obey God, look to Him and ask Him why. It is not in the Father\u2019s protocol to send people and leave them without resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am a living testimony of God\u2019s faithfulness. It has not been rosy all the time, but it wasn\u2019t for Jesus either. This message is not about things being easy in the call of God. After all, even with Saul, some men immediately despised him after his coronation. Our focus today, however, is just one thing: God has sent valiant men your way. The resources you need to be faithful are available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
