Psalms 10:14-15 (NKJV)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2018But You have seen, for You observe trouble and grief\u2026The helpless commits himself to You; You are the helper of the fatherless\u2026Break the arm of the wicked and the evil man\u2026\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Lord observes the troubles and griefs that come to the poor and helpless. He is not unmindful of their situation and he watches over them to sustain and deliver. It\u2019s so reassuring that despite all that the wicked do, the Lord is observing. He observes for a season before He acts. But He\u2019s watching. Nothing escapes the eyes of the All-Seeing One.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It is to such a One that the helpless commit themselves to. They observe and they know that it is just a matter of time before God will arise and break the arm of wickedness; yes, even the arm of the evil and wicked man. And while this prayer for judgment may sound unconventional, it is indeed an honest desire and cry of the oppressed that God would judge the oppressor for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And this cry is not wrong!<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2018Lord, the helpless have no one to turn to but you. They know that you are the One who can fight their fight for them. The wicked oppressor thinks he is above all but he is not above God, the helper of the fatherless. You are the father of the helpless. Lord, arise for the helpless. Arise and show your might and your strength, that the wicked man may know he is but man. And if you must break his arm to free your children from his grip, then Lord, please go ahead and break those arms and free your helpless children.
