Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me? How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart daily? How long will my enemy be exalted over me?\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I know God will come through. David did not doubt that God would come through. David just was in dire distress because he did not know how long it would take for God to come through. Because of the time delay, he was distressed and anxious and sorrowful in his heart. He was waiting for God, whom he knows will answer but he didn\u2019t know how or when.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">David\u2019s feelings and experience was perfectly normal. The same things happen with me. I wait for God and don\u2019t know why He delays. More painfully, I desire and ache for a fresh encounter with God, for the touch of God; but it seems to tarry. My soul sorrows daily for an experience of God that is new and real. I wait for God. I know God will come but I don\u2019t know when or how. But I will wait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Don\u2019t give up waiting for God, even when He seems to delay. Wait for His face. It is worth the wait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u2018Lord, I will wait. My soul aches but I will wait. The way of the pilgrim is to learn to wait. I know I am not going to get satisfaction or deliverance in anything else, so I will wait for the God of heaven to answer me. And while the enemy of my soul seems to be exalted by this waiting period, I know it shall soon be over, for God will come through for me.
