\u201cThen, while you are still talking there with the king, I also will come in after you and confirm your words.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Words have power, and words are a key to effective communication. Words carry weight and impact, and we must never underestimate the power of the spoken word. Every year, we speak millions of words. But do they have impact?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Many times, change happens when words are spoken. There are bad situations that can be reversed when words are spoken. Words have the power to transform and impact, if used correctly. If we want change, we must learn to speak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But words are not enough. A passionate and accurate message is good, but it\u2019s not good enough. For impact to happen, two elements must align with the spoken words. If words are to bring about a change of heart, then they must address these two factors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first is correct timing. Good words spoken at the wrong time will not hit the mark. If we must make an impact, we must look for the right time to share the right info. Only wise people know that words have great power when spoken in the right way and time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Secondly, our words need confirmation and external support. To speak words without the commensurate backing from God or from people around us will lack authority to bring about change. Beyond our words, find collaborators who can confirm what we say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nathan knew that for Adonijah to be stopped and to spare the lives of Bathsheba and Solomon, the king needed to hear words. So he said to Bathsheba, \u201cGo immediately to King David and say to him\u2026\u201d (v13). She needed to speak up. Immediately. That\u2019s timing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But that was not enough, Nathan told her that while she would be speaking to King David, he would \u201ccome in\u2026and confirm your words.\u201d (v14). Bathsheba\u2019s words to David were good but she needed external confirmation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dear pilgrims, change needs words but words spoken and presented correctly, at the right time, in the right way, and with external support. Impactful people know this and they have learned to speak more carefully and in God\u2019s timing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When God wanted to change the world, He sent His Word, and it became flesh and dwelt among us. We saw Him, we heard Him, and then He manifested God\u2019s power as the evidence to support His claims. That\u2019s how transformation happens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do you want to make a positive impact on your world? Grow the art of knowing who to speak to, when to speak, and what evidence can strengthen the words you speak. If we do these things, our words will never fall to the ground as void. Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
