Galatians 3:26-27 (NKJV)

‘For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.’

So how does the justified life happen in practice and how does faith free us from the curse of the law? Simple. We who have believed in the atoning work of Christ through His death, resurrection and ascension (each of these having a role to play in the final package of justification); we have been baptized into the very life of God through Christ. We have entered into the pool of Siloam where the miracle happens to those who can get in, and once we enter into the miraculous pool called Christ (we get up and get in because the Holy Spirit responds to our faith and takes us into the pool of Christ- again not by works lest any man should boast but by faith); we are translated as we enter into Christ and the old nature is vaporized and a new nature is born. This is the putting on of Christ.

We become sons of God and become above the law of sin because we believed and we were swallowed up into the life of Christ. By His death, He ensured our old life is vaporized (crucified); by His resurrection, He ensured that we received the new resurrected life that is the life of God Himself, which is above sin and above the law; by His ascension, He sits on the right Hand of glory overseeing His life manifesting in the sons of men, guaranteeing their victory in life and insuring their place in the kingdom of heaven after they depart from the flesh. O! Praise be to Jesus, for in believing in Him, the miracle of sonship is ascribed unto men.

‘Praise be to you Jesus. We are made children of God by being baptized into you and even this was made possible because of your sacrificial work of incarnation, crucifixion, resurrection and ascension. I will ever live in faith and praise of your name Jesus.’
