YOUR NAME TAG

February 5, 2017

Genesis 1:5 (NKJV)

‘God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.’

God called the light DAY and darkness NIGHT. God calls us by different names based on the nature we bear. Your name is tied to your nature. The nature of light was so different from the nature of darkness that God could not give both the same name. And the first day could not come to an end until God had ensured that light had a name to identify itself while darkness also had a name to identify it.

What name do you bear and how does God call you? And when your life comes to an end, how would you be called on the other side of existence? Remember, your nature determines your name and your name determines your location in the next life. And don’t be angry if your name will be called darkness because on that day; the nametag production will be automated and will naturally follow the spiritual nature you bear. May your nametag read, ‘Light-bearer’, in Jesus name. But the decision is yours to make. Today!

‘Lord, I am hidden in Christ. Outside of Christ, my name is darkness. In Christ, I am light. I have no good within me outside of Jesus and He alone is my righteousness. On the morning of eternity, I know that I will not stand based on my name but by the name of Christ and Christ alone. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to both change my name and my identity. Amen.’
