Genesis 12:7 (NKJV)
‘Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him.’
There’s nothing as comforting and encouraging as the Lord’s appearance. And by this, I don’t mean the Final Appearance of the Last Day. I mean the appearance of the Lord with a word for me, today.
Secondly, when the Lord appears, He usually speaks and brings a precise word. Even though His words may be prophetic and futuristic, once it is from Him, it shall surely come to pass. The Word of the Lord is the hope of my life. Where am I going and what can I do without this clear word from the Lord?
‘Oh Lord, I long for Your present appearance. I long to hear Your word to me; fresh and customized. Am tired of the general instructions; appear to me and for me alone. Amen.’
