Genesis 12:13 (NKJV)

‘Please say you are my sister, that it may be well with me for your sake, and that I may live because of you.’

How could Abram sacrifice his wife for his survival and prosperity? He knew the risk he was taking when he chose to go to Egypt but why now tender your wife as the collateral for your survival? In fact, after Pharaoh had taken Sarai, he gave Abram sheep, donkeys, camels, servants and Abram took them!!! Abram prospered at the expense of Sarai; and had God not intervened, Sarai would have been taken as Pharaoh’s wife or concubine, for good!

Fight for your family. Men who are men, fight for their families and not exploit them for personal gain. Men must be willing to go through risks and hardships for the sake of their families. We must be willing to deny ourselves for the sake of our families. Daddies and husbands must be known for this special quality. They must never hide behind but fight gallantly for their families.

‘I am a Man and I must fight for my family. I will never exploit them, deny them or use them for personal gain. Lord, this is my commitment to You and to my family, in Jesus name. Amen.’
