Genesis 15:5 (NKJV)
‘Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.”’
Sometimes, God needs to bring us outside our current world view and environment to cast our eyes on the great plans He has for us. For Abram, because he could not see beyond the present, God had to cause him to move out to see the great things that were planned for his future.
Don’t think small. Don’t believe God for little things. Look beyond your present surroundings and enter through the doors of faith to hear and see the world God is preparing for you and your descendants. Dream big with God. Hear His dreams for you and dream alongside. God wants to enlarge your territory and grant you a posterity that will shock even you. He says, ‘Eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, neither has it come into the heart of Man what God has prepared for those who love Him.’ Because I love Him, this promise is also for my descendants and I, in Jesus name.
BUT I MUST GO OUTSIDE! Staying within my current limitedness will limit me. I must go outside my current surroundings and community. I cannot hear the great words and great promises if I stay with the current company of small minds and little dreamers. Go outside.
‘Lord I step outside by faith, in Jesus name. I step away from my limitedness and my limited company. I step out to see and hear and receive the great plans and promises You have for me. Yes Lord, I step out with You, in Jesus name. Amen.’
