GOD’S EXPECTATION

Genesis 17:1 (NKJV)

‘When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.’

God’s promises are sure, but His expectations are also definite. As He said to Abram, so He says to me, ‘walk before me and be blameless.’ God expects me to walk always in His presence. He expects all my actions to be such that I need not be ashamed before Him. If I so walk all the time (in the consciousness of God), then I will be living a blameless life, that is, a life without shame or reproof.

God’s will for me is to live above reproof; to live blamelessly, to live in His presence.

‘Almighty God, I want to always walk blameless before You but in this frail human vessel, I fear to confess that I many times am not blameless. For this reason, I appeal to the sacrifice of Jesus to hide my shame and present me perfect and blameless before Your presence. Amen to Jesus and His blood work over me. Amen.’
