Genesis 18:14 (NKJV)
‘Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.’
Sarah laughed in her heart when the Angels said she would give birth at her old age. She couldn’t even fathom it. It seemed beyond her grasp of faith. She didn’t speak it out, but that inner laughter was a betrayal. And the Lord had to rebuke her for it, although in His mercy, He did not withdraw His blessings.
Don’t doubt. Yes, it seems weird by all human standards, but if God has spoken, He can do it. Don’t laugh at the promises of God for your life, even if you don’t understand how it will come to pass. Trust in His Almightiness knowing that if it is God, nothing shall be hard for Him to do. The word ‘hard’ does not exist in the vocabulary of the Almighty. It’s all about timing. He said to her, ‘At the appointed time, I will return to you.’ If God has not moved to fulfill His promise to you, maybe it’s not yet His appointed time. Wait in faith. Believe.
‘I believe Lord. I believe. I will not laugh in faithlessness, in Jesus name. Help my unbelief. Amen.’
