Genesis 25:22-23 (NKJV)

“But the children struggled together within her…So she went to inquire of the Lord. And the Lord said to her: ‘Two nations are in your womb…And the older shall serve the younger.’”

Prophetic discernment comes to those who seek the Lord. If we truly seek the face of the Lord for our lives and our children, God will speak clearly. She inquired of the Lord concerning her children & the Lord showed her.

Women need to discern God’s will for their children. Women are very sensitive in the spirit and while Isaac loved Esau more (because Esau regularly brought game meat to him), Rebekah aligned herself to God’s will because she heard God say, “the older shall serve the younger.” We must follow God’s revealed plan for our children, but this must be by understanding what those revealed plans are. Inquire of the Lord concerning the destiny of your children. Then walk with God to fulfill what you have discerned.

Inquire & follow His lead.

“I will walk with God to fulfill the destinies of my children. I will not be like Isaac who responded to the children based on fleshly desires. Lord, pierce my eyes to see and my ears to hear Your will for each child and like Rebekah, may I move with You to fulfill each person’s destiny, in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
