Genesis 27:15-16 (NKJV)

‘Then Rebekah took the choice clothes of her elder son Esau, which were with her in the house, and put them on Jacob her younger son. And she put the skins of the kids of the goats on his hands and on the smooth part of his neck.’

Understand your husband. Though she was scheming how to get Jacob to supplant Esau, she knew how her husband thinks, acts and reacts. She had been with him long enough to discern his ways of reasoning. She was a diligent student of her husband.

Woman, know your man. Failure to get your way may partly be due to your inability to comprehend his energies, passions, reasonings, and expressions. Knowing your man is critical to having your way. Even when Jacob feared that Isaac might discover their scheme and curse him rather than bless him, Rebekah said, “Let your curse be on me, my son.” Was this because she expected to be cursed? No! She just knew that her plan was fail-proof. She knew what Isaac would look for and she had made adequate preparations for whatever evidence he would search for.

Woman, your success is tied to knowing your man.
