A CULTURE OF DECEPTION

August 9, 2017

Genesis 29:25 (NKJV)

“So it came to pass in the morning, that behold, it was Leah. And he said to Laban, ‘What is this you have done to me? Was it not for Rachel that I served you? Why then have you deceived me?’”

Beware of deception. Satan can never be trusted, and the same applies to most Men. What people say and what they will do are two different things. Because Jacob so believed Laban, he never checked the lady that was brought to him that night. He naturally assumed it was Rachel, and he unfortunately only found out in the morning after he had slept with LEAH.

Beware of deception. That is the currency of the last days. Although the world system promises us rest, what we receive at the end of the day is an addiction. They promise us entertainment, but we end up with defilement. Even the Church may promise you a worship experience, but you end up with a noisy marketing production that does not bring you into God’s presence.

Beware of deception. That’s the trade language of human existence. A higher form of discernment is required to survive in today’s deceptive culture.

“I know most people trade in deception and many are being deceived. I have asked this so many times before and I ask again: Lord, please open the eyes of my understanding to see beyond the usual. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.”
