DON’T GIVE UP

Genesis 29:30 (NKJV)

“Then Jacob also went in to Rachel, and he also loved Rachel more than Leah. And he served with Laban still another seven years.”

Jacob knew whom he wanted; he loved and wanted Rachel. And although he was deceived the first time after having served for seven years, he was willing to serve another seven years as dowry for his beloved. That is love. That is vision. That is determination.

Don’t give up because of the obstacles on your path. If you so believe God wants you to have something, then you must be willing to pay the price for it. Whatever comes cheap tends to have a lower sense of value in our eyes. Maybe that’s why Jacob found it hard to love Leah because she had come cheap through deception. But for Rachel, he had to serve fourteen years for her, and that made her premium.

Don’t give up because there are obstacles. Be willing to pay the price for what you believe.

“Strengthen my heart love. Teach me perseverance for those things that have good and eternal value. Amen.”
