Genesis 32:24 (NKJV)
“Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day.”
An authentic encounter with God is a deeply personal experience. Even if it happens in the midst of the crowd, it must still be a very personal encounter. While we are busy with the affairs of life and the challenges of existence, we may never come to meet God in a very real sense. However, in the inner shrine of silence, there the struggles of redemption take place, and the encounter with God happen.
It’s important to note that transformation is usually preceded by wrestling, for the old does not quickly give way to the new. But without the victory of God over our strengths, we cannot be elevated to the next level in our journey to destiny. Because many have failed to even wrestle with God, they have maintained the status-quo of normalcy and mediocrity. But for those who have longed for more, they will struggle with God even as He insists they move away from where they are and let go of certain toys, tendencies, and tools; before God can bless them.
Your day will surely break even as you learn to wrestle with God until the day break.
“May I never find peace without the repeated and genuine encounters with You Oh my God. What is my life worth if not that I see You and embrace You, and You transform me in the process. Despite my struggles, go ahead and do what You must do in my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.”
