Genesis 32:26 (NKJV)

“And He said, ‘Let Me go, for the day breaks.’ But he said, ‘I will not let You go unless You bless me!’”

Don’t let God go until He blesses you. Don’t accept a cheap and easy result that does not meet the deepest longing of your heart. Because there is so much more in God, don’t accept less than the fullness of His blessings. Hold on tenaciously.

It is incredible that even after Jacob’s hip was dislocated, he still refused to let God go. He must have been in great pain and agony yet he would not let God go. This is an example of a man who knows what he wants and where he would get it; and therefore utterly refuses to be distracted from achieving his goal. While so many things around you are real and demanding your attention, don’t let them rob you of the tenacious clinging unto God for His blessings.

Once the blessing has been acquired, you can be sure that all those other issues with fall into place and align properly. But if the blessing has not been secured, those issues will rule your life. Don’t let go until you have it.

“I will hold on to You my Lord. I need You and not all these small and secondary things. Oh Lord, You are the core of my life, and all the blessings I need are tied to You. Oh Lord, if You don’t bless me with Yourself, I will not release You.”
