Genesis 38:1 (NKJV)
“It came to pass at that time that Judah departed from his brothers, and visited a certain Adullamite whose name was Hirah.”
Beware of Hirah! There is safety in staying with the brethren. When Judah decided to visit the Adullamite, he should not have gone alone. He should have taken one of his brothers with him for accountability. Because Judah was alone, he went and saw a Canaanite woman and decided to marry her. No mention was made of him consulting with his family or getting them involved because he didn’t. What he started alone, he sought to complete alone.
Being alone is dangerous in this world of ours. Hirah is a seduction away from the brethren. The evil regimes roam tirelessly looking for Saints who travel alone. Always have close to you, accountability partners and friends with whom you can double check and share your convictions. There is safety in this. No matter your strength and experience, don’t travel alone. Satan has placed Shua’s daughter on your path for you. You don’t know it, but they see you coming, and they have prepared for you. Have someone with you who can snatch you back into reality when your thoughts begin to deviate from God’s Covenant promises for your life.
“Oh God, I have often cried for a deep soul mate and prayer partner. This journey is not doable alone. In addition to my spouse – who has been a great partner indeed, give me another one with whom we can share deep convictions and struggles on the pathway of life. I pray this, in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
