Genesis 38:16 (NKJV)

“Then he turned to her by the way, and said, ‘Please let me come in to you…”

Keep your eyes on the Way that has been shown to you. It’s ok to be inquisitive but be inquisitive on the Way. Be very vigilant never to turn aside from the Way, to view or investigate things outside the Way. The one solution to remaining in Christ in this evil and adulterous generation is to remain affixed on the Way.

Judah turned aside to her “by the way.” He begged to enter corruption. Judah let his emotional and carnal desire take him away from the prescribe way, and he ended up in the hands of filth; a type of corruption he could never have imagined. If he had stayed on the way, he wouldn’t have had a child from his daughter-in-law. Don’t plead to have your way, when your way leads you to death.

Outside the Way, is deception and trickery. In the Way are Truth and Justice. May we recommit to staying in the Way and on the Way, for that’s the only way to survive in these last days.

“Oh God, I covenant to keep my heart, and my flesh stayed on the path of Life. Death lurks everywhere else. Since I have crossed over from death to life, I can no longer be found in the old ways. My Lord, keep my heart and flesh stayed on Jesus. Amen.”
