Genesis 39:2-3 (NKJV)
“The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man, and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand.”
Such blessedness and such blessing. When the Lord is with a man, he cannot help but prosper and be successful. But there are different kinds of success and prosperity. The key to the success that heaven recognizes is heaven’s participation in the success. The success that is achieved outside of God’s involvement has no eternal significance.
It is possible to prosper even when you are in your masters’ house, and you don’t have total freedom. Within the confines and limitations of physical slavery, Joseph prospered. Confinement and physical limitation must not be your barrier; if God indeed is with you, people around will see it, and it will elevate you. God cannot be active in your life, and you go unnoticed. But remember, recognition & success does not always translate as popularity and fame. Recognition sometimes could bring you more trouble. In summary, with God, you cannot be ignored.
“Lord, what I desire of You is not popularity and fame, but success. I want Your hand to be so evidenced in my life, that I am relevant wherever You place me. Nothing can hinder You, and so nothing will hinder me from being all You have ordained me to be. This is my conviction in Christ Jesus. Amen.”
