Genesis 39:5 (NKJV)
“So it was, from the time that he had made him overseer of his house and all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the Lord was on all that he had in the house and in the field.’
Let your presence make a difference. If God indeed oozes from you, it should make a recognizable impact on your surroundings. Don’t let God’s presence be ineffective in your community. Where you live, work, school or serve must feel the positive vibrations of the Almighty God at work in and through you. If they don’t, the internal dosage of God in your life is too weak and ineffective.
The Lord blessed all that belonged to the Egyptian, for Joseph’s sake. That is a profound statement. The Egyptian was not a covenant child of God and Joseph was a slave in his home (something Joseph did not desire), yet the Lord prospered and increased this Egyptian slave owner because of Josephs’ presence! Amazing!
Your surrounding may not be perfect, and you may not be in your dream destination, but God can break forth and bless all around you because of you. Isn’t that a dream worth chasing? Anywhere I go, live or work; God’s blessings overflows into that community.
“Amen Lord, that is my prayer. Everywhere I go, let the power and presence of the Almighty break forth and change situations around me, to Your glory alone. Oh Lord, make this my portion, in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”
