OVERCOMING THE TRUST BREAKER

October 8, 2017

Genesis 39:10 (NKJV)

“So it was, as she spoke to Joseph day by day, that he did not heed her, to lie with her or to be with her.”

The power of the test of trust is in its seduction and persistence. The test will not be an isolated one-day occurrence. For it to be a real test, it will be enticing and persistent. It will be alluring and inviting and repetitive. Just when you think you have overcome it, it will slide back into your subconscious, requesting you attend to it. To remain in the realm of trust, you will require continuous vigilance against the seductive bombardments to break the “responsibility of trust.”

Joseph must have suffered so much under her constant seduction. She must have dressed provocatively and must have done all manners of things to move his heart in her direction…day after day. His mindset and flesh must have been assaulted relentlessly…and yet he stood his ground. What a man Joseph was. What a man!

“Oh God, make me a man who can stand under Your grace and overcome the temptations and seductions of my generation. May I always identify where and what those seductions are and may I arise to flee and resist their powers. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.”
