JOINING TO HALLOW HIS NAME

February 27, 2018

Matthew 6:9

”…Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.”

Our Father lives and breathes, and His presence encircles the earth, but His throne is in heaven. His majestic throne is in the heavens of the heavens, and in that eternal spiritual world, His name is constantly being hallowed and worshipped nonstop. There exist in the heavens, immortal beings who live to do no greater bidding but to hallow and worship His majesty.

Our chief and most responsible spiritual duties are not in the preaching of the gospel or the work of the ministry but the hallowing of God’s glorious name. Delivering glory and honor to Him is just acknowledging His majesty as ruler of the universe and conforming our lives to reflect His glory. The noblest assignment on earth is to hallow the name of the Enthroned King. When our voices and hearts are in sync with God’s invincible heavenly choir, the result is outstanding, as the peace that passes all understanding transcends and envelops our very being. As this peace overtakes our mortal bodies, we are transported into His majestic presence, joining the other heavenly beings in reverence and adoration. This is my greatest desire on earth, and this will be my eternal joy in heaven.

“Lord my God, how majestic You are in all the earth and all the heavens. Your majesty fills the universe. My daily desire is to connect with Your grandeur and splendor and to hallow Your name by my words and lifestyle. Have Your way most Excellent One. Have Your way and be hallowed in my life and Your world. Amen Lord. Amen.”
