HINDRANCES TO THE SUPERNATURAL

April 14, 2018

Matthew 9:25

“But when the crowd was put outside, He went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose.”

Jesus does not see as men see, neither does He judge as men judge. His paradigm and perspective are quite different, and for that reason, His expectations and responses to events are also different. In this situation, everyone saw a dead girl, but Jesus saw a sleeping girl. Because His paradigm was different, He was mocked and ridiculed for His opinion, but He stood by it. He refused the hindrances that were posed by men.

If we walk with Jesus, we will see things differently because Jesus sees things differently. And as we walk with Jesus to demonstrate the supernatural, there will be ridicule from men. People will laugh at you and scorn you. How must we respond? The first thing is to step away from the crowd of unbelief. Remaining with the crowd of mockers will crush your faith. Secondly, we must be bold to move into the situation and expect God to back you up. Listening to mockers will crush your faith and staying outside will limit God’s hand to move and manifest.

“Father, I refuse to listen to the mockers and those who ridicule me. Help me to stay focused on what You have told me to do, and help me to move forward with Your vision. In Jesus name. Amen.”
