Matthew 9:27
“When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, ‘Son of David, have mercy on us!’”
It’s not easy to walk alone. God’s will is that we walk in mutually supporting relationships and that’s why He said, “It’s not good that for the man to be alone.” It’s not easy to believe alone especially when what you believe God for is utterly incredible. It’s good to have someone alongside who can walk with you and dare to believe with you. These two blind men were both blind, and they both wanted to see, and they both believed that Jesus was the One who could do it. They may have tried several other things before that did not work, but when they heard of Jesus, they latched onto Him in hope. Even when Jesus did not answer them and kept going, they kept following Him until they entered the house where He was.
Find someone who will go the distance with you. Find someone; it could be a spouse, a friend or a colleague. But don’t walk and believe alone. Find someone who has the same experience with you or has had a similar experience. Find someone who can identify with your situation and can go with you to Jesus. Make sure it’s someone of faith, not someone who will depress your faith. This person should also be willing for you to strengthen and support his faith. When Jesus seems to delay in responding to your situation, your partner will believe and endure with you. Your miracle may just be tied to having the right partner walk the journey of faith with you. Do you have someone like this?
“Lord, thank You for giving me partners who walk this walk with me. I am so grateful that I can share my heart and hopes with these partners You’ve given me. Help us to grow our faith and mutual support, as we pursue after You to do the incredible in us and through us. In Your name, I pray. Amen.”
