Matthew 12:30
“He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.”
There are no middle grounds for spiritual discipleship and followership. To Jesus, there are no partial followers or middle followers. It’s either we are entirely on His side, or we are not on His side. No middle grounds. If we are with Him, then we need to stand firm on His side at all costs, and if we don’t stand with Him, then we are actually counted as being against Him. It is that simple. In the same way, Jesus is on a mission to gather and to bring together the Saints of God. Jesus is on a campaign to bring out of darkness, them to whom the Father has ordained to eternal life. If we are not with Him on this mission, then we are against Him.
We must, therefore, ask ourselves the hard question: Whose side are we really on? Are we scattering when He is gathering? Are we standing firm for what He stands for? There really is no middle ground in the eyes of Jesus, and we must be likewise clear-minded about this. There are no emotional slants to this, and there are no exceptions. If we are not standing where Jesus stands on an issue, then we are directly standing against Christ, and that’s a fearful place to be.
“Lord Jesus, I know that I may be standing against You without even realizing it. My deepest prayer Lord is that You always help me understand what Your position is on any issue and give me the strength to stand exactly where You stand. I pray this earnestly in Your name. Amen.”
