THE REJECTED INVITATION

October 25, 2018

Matthew 22:3

“and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come.”

One of the biggest tragedies of life is that many are turning down the divine invitation from the Lord God, Himself. God is inviting men to come into His House and His Feast, but many do not see the value in accepting this heavenly invitation. Yet, the invitation keeps going out.

My job is to extend the invitation to everyone. The Lord is asking that I speak His Words to everyone everywhere. The invitation cards must be delivered, and I have to take my task seriously. Although some servants got rejected, beaten and even some were killed, it should not deter us from sharing the word of invitation. I shall not be afraid of the faces of men or their threats against me. I will faithfully and lovingly deliver the Kings’ message, and leave the rest to men to make their own decisions. The sad reality, however, is that a vast majority of humanity have made up their minds never to accept the invitation, and there’s nothing we can do about it but to pray.

“Father, I pray for the continuous boldness to invite people to Christ and I pray You to soften the hearts of men to respond to these invitations. I cannot make them come, and I know You won’t force them either. O Lord, please soften their hearts to hear truly and positively respond. In Jesus name. Amen.”
