Matthew 24:12-13

“And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.”

The spirit of the Last Days has an agenda and we must respond to it decisively and vigorously. The believer cannot have a “mild attitude” towards the agenda and the purposes of the end times. A soft heart in spiritual confrontation will make you a cheap prey for Satan. While we need to be soft in dealing with men, we must be aggressive in confronting the spirit of lawlessness that’s been released upon our generation. This lawless spirit oppresses and suppresses, with the goal of snuffing out our love for God and humanity.

Another way to look at spiritual aggression is endurance. As a child of God living in the Last Days, I must be stubborn concerning spiritual things and I must refuse to bow to the taunts and whispers of the lawless one. It’s only by being stubbornly enduring to the end will I have hope of overcoming. Many will fall aside and compromise. Many will lose their passionate love for God and settle for being lukewarm. Many will choose to be logical and rational, and thereby align with the spirit of the End Times. Stubborn endurance is the only way out. There are no middle grounds. There’s no other option for me. I want to be saved.

“O God, I cannot conform to the wiles and deceits of this wicked age. I choose to endure and press in to remain in Your love. I refuse to get cold or be side tracked into a compromising lifestyle. O God, have mercy and help me. In Jesus name. Amen.”
