CHEAT DESTINY

December 30, 2018

Matthew 26:25

“Then Judas, who was betraying Him, answered and said, ‘Rabbi, is it I?’

He said to him, ‘You have said it.’ ”

Judas had an opportunity to turn around but he didn’t. When he asked Jesus if he was the one to betray Him, and Jesus confirmed it, that should have been enough of a hint to stop the direction he was going. Once Jesus had stated that he was the one, he could have fought back the tides of an evil destiny.

Your destiny does not have to end up in the shipwreck of your faith, and in the betrayal of your Master. As a child of God, you need to listen attentively to the hints Jesus gives you. He sees what the devil has intended for you, but He also has His agenda to deliver you from the traps set before you. While it may look like your destiny has been tied into a tight knot, with Jesus, all destinies are changeable. Change your destiny. Cheat any evil destiny written about you. Refuse the script that points you to betray Jesus. It’s not over until it’s over. You can still switch your destiny. Just follow closely, every word Jesus speaks to you.

“Lord Jesus, I am not going to accept a script that leaves me fulfilling negative purpose. My destiny is to influence my generation towards godliness and righteousness. I will not be used as an example of failure or negativity. I refuse any destiny that leads me towards betrayal and suicide. In Your name, I pray. Amen.”
