Matthew 27:29

“And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, ‘Hail, King of the Jews!’

Jesus was and is the King of the Jews, and although the soldiers said it mockingly, they were telling the truth. They were telling the truth with hatred in their hearts, but it was still the truth. Once there is truth, acknowledge it. It doesn’t matter who said it or how it was said or the motivation for saying it. What matters is that the truth was spoken, and we need to embrace the truth.

People may mock us while telling the truth. It doesn’t matter. Let our commitment be in identifying, recognizing and embracing the truth, irrespective of the channel used to present it. The truth is the truth, and nothing can change it. We are children of truth, and we will always stand for truth everywhere, and anywhere we see it.

“Lord, I believe in You. You are the truth. Everything else is a lie. I stand with You and for You with a sincere heart. I will not join those who speak of the truth with hypocrisy. Amen.”
