I am tired of mere existence

I am tired of the routine

I need to encounter you afresh

I need the breath of God in my lungs

I need the life of God in my veins

I know I have You

But I want You

I want You in a way that’s scary

I am desperate Lord

I am desperate for what religion cannot give me

I am desperate for what Man cannot give me

I am not satisfied with all that I have

Because I know there’s more

Take me there, Lord

Take me beyond me Lord

Take me to the rivers of God

And drown me there

Suffocate me with the life of God

Let me die so that only God lives in me

And through me.
