I feel neglected

I feel forgotten

I feel left behind & left out.

It seems that You’ve brought me down,

You’ve taken away the favors I had.

I feel rejected by You Lord,

And it’s showing in everything else.

But I know why.”

“It’s my fault.

I had left You behind.

I had placed other priorities over You.

I’d chased activities & programs

I’d chased self promotion

I stopped sitting humbly at Your feet

I let the limelight to catch my heart

And I swerved away from You.

I know it’s my fault.

“But Lord, am so sorry.

I know You’re a God of great Mercy

Look at me with Mercy again

Restore Your Favor to me

Bring me back into Your bosom

Bring me back into Your good books

Help me find my place with You again.

I know I feel demoted but this will change

Oh Lord, Favor me again

Speak to me words of love & acceptance

Please Lord.

For only then will my shame be removed

And my light rekindled

But until then, I can’t lift myself up

Until then, I will remain demoted-

And downcast.

But I know it’s time to Favor Zion again

I return to You Lord.

Return to me in Mercy

And lift me up again I plead.
