LOVE, EXPRESSED -1

Romans 12:10 (NKJV)

“Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;”

There are many ways to show love to someone but one of the best ways is by showing kindness and affection. People who are rude and rough with others lack love. Irrespective of your personality, to be kindly affectionate is a command from the Lord. What does your love mean if it is not expressed with affection? Even difficult words or conflicting opinions can be expressed with respect, dignity and kindness.

Let’s watch how we speak to and relate with one another. There’s already so much hurt and pain in the world and we need to be careful not to unnecessarily add to the emotional weights that people are carrying. NLT says, “Love each other with genuine affection.” Let people feel that you genuinely love them. Work by diverse words and actions to communicate sincere affection. This world is desperately in need of emotional affirmation and we are called to give such, honestly and purely, without any strings attached. Be careful how you deal with people. Be tactful in your relationships. Be willing to go the extra mile to demonstrate love. And people will be so indebted to you for it.

“Lord, how I pray that You fill my life to an overflow of Your love so that I have and can show Your kind of affection to others. In Jesus name. Amen.”
