WAIT TO BE LIFTED

November 1, 2019

1 Samuel 2:1 (NKJV)

“…’…My horn is exalted in the Lord. I smile at my enemies, Because I rejoice in Your salvation.’”

The horn symbolizes strength and victory. The horn is that part of me that needs to be lifted up. The horn of my life can only be lifted up “in the Lord.” Any horn that is lifted up outside the Lord is self-promotion and it will never stand the test of time. Only the horn that is lifted up by the Lord Himself will prevail and remain lifted up.

So don’t lift yourself up. Wait for the Lord. If the Lord lifts up your horn, then you are sure that you have truly been lifted up. Let your stay in the Lord be your security and guarantee. Don’t be tempted to get up and go and do your own thing because you think you know how to do it. Don’t be tempted to lift up your horn by yourself. Wait for the Lord I say. Wait for the Lord, and He will lift you up in due season. Amen.

“Lord, I apologize for the many times and the many ways I have lifted up my horn. I even forgot that You were the One who gave me the horn. Today, I recommit to the life of simplicity and waiting for Your elevation. In Jesus name. Amen.”
