1 Samuel 2:9-10 (NKJV)
“He will guard the feet of His saints, But the wicked shall be silent in darkness. For by strength no man shall prevail. The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken in pieces; From heaven He will thunder against them. The Lord will judge the ends of the earth. He will give strength to His king, And exalt the horn of His anointed.”
Such beautiful promises that secure the heart and mind of the faithful. God’s Word to us this morning is sure. Here is a brief recap from the verses above. God will guard our feet. He will guard where we go and how we go. We shall prevail but it will not be by our strength; so we must never lean on or depend on our strength. Those who stand against the Lord will not prosper. They will be broken and put to shame. God works against them because they work against God. God will give strength to those who trust in Him, and He will exalt His beloved and His anointed.
With these sure promises, I walk on earth with confidence and boldness. I do not crouch and slouch. I refuse to be intimidated or relegated. The Most High is watching my feet. He is giving me strength even when I seem frail. He is thundering against my adversaries. He is exalting my horn. I will not be shut down and put down. I will not accept defeat or oppression. I will not be left out or made insignificant. The Most High is on my side. Halleluya.
“Lord, thank You for these great and glorious promises. Such an honor to belong to You. Such a privilege to be called by Your name. Thank You for standing for me and with me. I will never lean on myself or boast in my strength. I know that all comes from You; and I totally put all my hopes in You. I will walk boldly in Your name, and will represent You honorably. I am blessed because You have blessed me. Amen.”
