“The closer we get to God, the less we know Him”- Loren Cunningham
Sometimes, just when we think we know Him, the more we realize we need to know Him. God is deep and His ways are deep. Maybe that’s why Paul towards the end of His life said, “That I may know Him.”
Even the disciples who were physically with Jesus did not fully know Him, and although they knew Him more after the Holy Spirit came on them, they still needed to know, “the depths of the riches.”
When you struggle with understanding God and you feel weary from not knowing how He will make certain things unfold, lean back and rest in the knowledge that we cannot fully know God while we remain in this flesh. We see in part. We know in part. One day, all things will be clear. Until then, hold on and press on in faith — searching, looking upwards, looking into Scriptures, listening carefully for His voice — and waiting on His sovereignty.
Here’s the conclusion. Wait in faith and in hope, knowing that even when we don’t know everything about God, we are sure of His love and goodwill towards us who bear His mark of ownership. Selah!
