Part of my deepest cry is that the Church of God grooms more market place apostles and environmental changers. We need more people who understand the role and the need to grow in their place of calling; men who deliberately make effort (following divine principles) to advance in this regard. There’s an energy release that’s needed to catapult believers to the next level of dreaming with God, and doing the needful to press into the next stage.
We need to grow beyond waiting for men of God to prophesy over our lives. That’s spiritual babyhood. There’s a maturity that manifests as we learn to wrestle with God (not always waiting for others, and not benchmarked on analyzing/ complaining). We must grow to become more robust in personal faith, learning how to grow in the art of stewardship, faithfulness, obedience, personal sacrifice, planning and relationship dynamics. These are the ingredients for growth.
Growth doesn’t just happen because men pray it to happen. Growth happens by applying a myriad of rugged disciplines—of which increased prayer, of course, is one. We need to learn to creatively adjust to changing situations, while sticking to the visions God gave us.
