1 Samuel 14:15 (NKJV)
“And there was trembling in the camp, in the field, and among all the people. The garrison and the raiders also trembled; and the earth quaked, so that it was a very great trembling.”

We live in the last days and there is a shaking coming. It may seem that the forces of darkness are getting away unchallenged, but there is a shaking coming. God’s time is coming and coming very soon. The earth and all her princes will soon know the terrible might of the Almighty God. But God is looking for the people with whom He will execute His judgment on wickedness.

Jonathan was the man God found. God was the One moving in his heart to venture out against the forces of wickedness. God was the One stirring him on the inside. Even Jonathan could not understand what he was doing or how things would work out. But he obeyed. And then God took over. Then the shakings and quakings started.

When we obey the Lord and step out, the most crazy and scary things might follow. There is a shaking and a quaking that only God can produce. Don’t try to do what only God can do. Do your part and step forward to obey whatever He shows you. But wait in faith for the moving of His Spirit that will bring trembling to this world. The powers of this world must recognize the Almightiness of our God, and they will submit to His power.

Pilgrim of God, move in obedience to God. In your sphere of influence, move in obedience to God. The judgment of the nations is at hand. The judgment of the wicked is soon coming. The quaking of the ungodly will come swiftly, and it will take our world by surprise. The darkness cannot and will not continue to go unchallenged.

NLT says, “Suddenly, panic broke out…and then, the earthquake struck, and everyone was terrified.” Notice that the panic broke out before the earthquake struck. As we move in obedience to God, there will be sudden panic in the camp of the haters of God. They will be confounded. And while they are still in shock, heaven will thunder with earthquakes. Then, they will become terrified.

The world will soon be in panic, and then they will be terrified. We must be ready for this. The time is coming. The time has come. The forces of darkness can no longer have unhindered sway; at least, not while we are still on the earth. “Lord, terrify them. Amen.”
