THE GOD-KIND OF GROWTH

September 26, 2023

1 Samuel 3:19 (NKJV)

“So Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground.”

Whatever is not growing is dead. One definition of failure is incapacity or unwillingness to grow. Everything that has life develops and makes progress. Inanimate objects do not grow but whatever has life is expected to. When God comes upon a person, He changes you and improves you. Because God has life and is life, He cannot be working in your life and you remain stagnant. It is impossible. If the Lord is with you, He will change things in you and use you to change things around you. Secondly, God will give weight to your words so that when you speak, they will be significant. Men who have walked with God know what it means for God for validate their life and their words.

Samuel grew. God was with him and He validated him. God made sure that Samuel’s life and ministry had the “God-touch.” When Samuel spoke, people knew that God had spoken. He did not need to shout or make a fuss of things. People just recognized God behind his words and his life. Isn’t that awesome? Isn’t that a type of growth you want for yourself? Yes, this is part of the unending cries of my heart. It is part of my earnest prayers, that God will so validate my life that my words will carry the full approval and authority of God. May we desire this God-kind of growth, a growth that is clear and evident to all.“Lord, how I crave for a growing relationship with You that is displayed in the practical works of life. Oh Lord, how I pray that as I walk with You, people will see You clearly manifesting in me. May my words be Your words and may Your words never lack Your power to change my world. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”

    OBSERVATION
Calvary greetings in Jesus name. Amen.
Please brethren, thank you so much for overhauling/updating restlesspilgrim.org website, however, having gone through the overhaul/update, I observed mix ups here and there especially in the devotionals, there are some cut and joins in the devotionals, e.g, reflection on 1st Samuel did not begin at chapter one. If you click on previous entries, it’ll take you to reflection on the book of Romans etc…
Some of the devotionals don’t have provision for older entries. Please check out these mix ups and correct them. Restlesspilgrim.org is a very important and valuable source of balanced spiritual growth and enrichment for many Christians.
    Thanks immensely,
    Rev’d Canon Marcel Ezegwu.

Thank you so much Rev’d Canon, really appreciate your review.
So as to not delay the re-opening of the website we decided to post some of the latest devotions and update the older ones as time goes on.

For the issues with older entries, our team will check that out now.

      Thanks
      The Restless Pilgrim
