MY GREATEST NEED

March 15, 2019

Romans 1:7 (NKJV)

“To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace…”

There are several things I need from God. I need grace and I need peace, and Paul always prayed these two things for the Saints. But more important than grace and peace, is the assurance and experience of God’s love. One of the most important titles for God’s people is “Beloved of God.”

I don’t just want to know that I am loved, I want to feel the love of God. As the Bride of Christ, I need to know and feel and experience the sweet affection and warm embrace of the Bridegroom. Once I have that deep conviction and testimony of His love, every other thing will fall into place. I can serve endlessly and face the cruelest persecution, once I am covered and soaked in His love. Without the experience of God’s love, life is dreary and obedience is legalistic. Everything around me will be dull and sunken, and worship will be empty and spiritless, if I am not saturated by and in the love of God. My greatest need therefore is not money, or favor or success or popularity or anything else this world can give. My greatest need is having the inward filling of the love of God, because I am the Beloved of God.

“I am Your beloved O God, and my deepest need is having Your love. May I always feel the passionate love of God every single day of my life, in Jesus name. Amen.”
