1 Samuel 2:2 (NKJV)

“No one is holy like the Lord, For there is none besides You, Nor is there any rock like our God.”

God is beyond comparison. My God is not like the other gods of the earth. My God is the Lord God Almighty. He is holy like no one else can be. He is the Rock, as nothing else can be. God is the everlasting awesomeness of eternity. None can even get close to Him in any way. All that is on the face of the earth is vanity and emptiness compared to our great God. He alone is the Great One. He alone.

So why does Man feel so self-important? Man is like a mist in the morning that vanishes when the heat of the day appears. Man is like a mirage that looks like something good from afar, but when you come close, there is nothing of substance there. Man is nothing compared to the Almighty God. All of our holiness is like a filthy rag before His glorious holiness. All our strengths crumble before Him, Who is the unshakeable Rock. We must learn to bow the knee in submission, and worship His Majesty, the King Eternal.
