“Professing to be wise, they became fools”

The only wisdom that there is, is the wisdom of knowing God and worshipping Him as God. Every other thing is foolishness. Whatever knowledge we claim to have is nothing compared to the minutest knowledge in God and whatever wisdom we think we own is unthinkable foolishness compared to the brightness of God’s wisdom. So why do we follow the self-destructive path of self-sufficiency, by thinking we have something or we know something, outside of God?

Our greatest good is in relying on and living in the wisdom of God, even when it looks like foolishness to our wisdom. God’s foolishness is wiser than the greatest wisdom of Man. Accepting that fact is wisdom. So stop trying to be smart in your darkness. Stop thinking you know something special outside of God. All your paths of wisdom will only lead to your destruction as God will one day show off your stupidity through His wisdom. Be humble and profess foolishness that you may be wise.

“I am foolish Lord, and all my wisdom is total foolishness outside of You. I hope in You and Your ways are wisdom to me. I will desire nothing outside of You and will accept Your wisdom as truth, even when I don’t understand it. Amen.”
